ArgenTag is now an Oxford Nanopore Technologies Compatible Product Partner

LONDON, UK – May 26, 2026 — Last week, ArgenTag announced that its single-cell long-read solutions are now officially included in the Oxford Nanopore Compatible Products Programme. Oxford Nanopore’s programme is designed to certify industry-leading third-party technologies, as stated by the company: 


“We work with innovative organisations to verify third-party products for use with our platforms. The compatible product ecosystem brings together trusted assays, data management and analysis solutions, and automation platforms that empower users to diversify, streamline and scale workflows on their Oxford Nanopore platforms.”


ArgenTag cDNA integrates seamlessly into the ONT ligation sequencing workflow without any intermediate enzymatic clean-up, enabling a streamlined 75-minute library preparation. Because ArgenTag chemistry is inherently TSO artifact-free, the ArgenTag single-cell barcoded cDNA proceeds directly to end-prep and adapter ligation, eliminating the TSO removal step required by alternative single-cell long-read workflows. This optimized combination is perfectly suited for ONT high-throughput devices (PromethION 2 Solo, PromethION 24/48) where native long reads, real-time basecalling, and rapid turnaround make full-length transcript characterization at single-cell resolution accessible right at the bench.

There, we officially launched our latest technical resources showcasing how ArgenTag seamlessly integrates with Oxford Nanopore workflows to maximize single-cell resolution. Our Technical Note, Fusion-Resolved Single-Cell Profiling using ArgenTag and ONT, guides researchers from ArgenTag cDNA directly to library preparation using the Oxford Nanopore Ligation Sequencing Kit (SQK-LSK114), demonstrating our platform’s ability to resolve complex gene fusions and Philadelphia heterogeneity in K562 cells. Alongside it, our new Application Note, Isoform-Resolved Single-Cell Profiling of Human PBMCs, explores how ArgenTag enables isoform-level single-cell analysis in human PBMCs using Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing workflows  — both now available on our website.
