ArgenTag Becomes a PacBio Compatible Partner, Enabling High-Resolution Long-Read
NEW YORK CITY, NY – Feb. 17, 2026 – ArgenTag, a provider of high-resolution and accessible single-cell analysis solutions, announced today it has joined the PacBio Compatible Partner Program. The co-marketing agreement confirms the compatibility of ArgenTag's Single-Cell RNA Library Kit with PacBio's Kinnex RNA kits, enabling researchers to achieve long-read isoform sequencing at single-cell resolution.
This partnership addresses a key bottleneck in single-cell transcriptomics by eliminating the requirement for expensive, specialized capital equipment for cell partitioning. ArgenTag's solution utilizes a portable, simple, gravity-based microfluidic chip that allows for gentle and efficient capture of individual cells at the lab bench using standard pipettes.
When paired with PacBio's Kinnex kits and HiFi long-read sequencing, this streamlined benchtop workflow provides a scalable method for generating full-length, single-cell transcriptomic data. Researchers can now more easily capture complete isoform diversity, alternative splicing events, and gene fusions, which are often missed by short-read methods which focus on the 3' end.
The field of genomics is rapidly moving toward long-read single-cell sequencing to unlock a deeper layer of biological insight. This momentum is driven by the critical need to understand transcript isoform diversity, which plays a significant role in both healthy development and disease. Access to full-length isoform data at the single-cell level opens new possibilities for biomarker discovery, understanding complex gene regulation, and developing novel therapeutics.
ArgenTag is positioned at the forefront of this shift. As one of the only companies developing solutions natively designed for long-read sequencing, its platform is uniquely specialized in resolving alternative splicing events. This focus on high-resolution, full-length isoform data provides researchers with a new level of biological clarity that is unattainable with short-read platforms.
A key component of the ArgenTag platform is its integrated software solution. The company provides robust bioinformatics tools -optimized for long-read data. This software seamlessly demultiplexes reads and assigns them to their cell of origin with high accuracy, streamlining the complex analysis of long-read single-cell datasets and accelerating the path from raw data to biological insight.
To further support adoption of long-read single-cell sequencing, ArgenTag is announcing a Single-Cell Long-Read Research Grant Program. The grant will provide selected researchers with access to the ArgenTag Single-Cell kit to support novel or exploratory long-read single-cell projects.
Grant applications open: February 17, 2026
Application deadline: March 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
Additional details, including eligibility criteria and application instructions, are available on the ArgenTag website.
